FAQ
Is the Seniors a company, a consultancy firm, or an agency?
Neither.
Forming a company implies layers, overhead, and unnecessary weight. We've chosen a different model.
The Seniors is an association of independent experts across strategy, innovation, and brand—working without layers, and only together when it adds value.
What do you mean by 'when you work with one of us, all of us are in the room'?
It means no one works in isolation.
We meet regularly to share, challenge, and sharpen each other's thinking. When you engage one Senior, you gain the collective intelligence behind them—sometimes visibly, sometimes quietly, always intentionally.
You get the group's intelligence, fully or partially, in service of the project.
Who will I actually be working with?
Directly with the Senior you engage.
There are no substitutions, no pyramids, and no handoffs. If additional expertise is needed, it's brought in intentionally and transparently, and only when it strengthens the work.
How do you decide which projects to take on?
We choose carefully.
Each Senior has their own criteria for what makes a project worth taking on—impact, timing, people, and purpose all matter. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
Do you stay at strategy, or do you offer implementation?
We start where clarity is needed most—and stay as long as impact requires.
As AI expands what's possible, the line between strategy and execution continues to evolve. Some engagements remain advisory. Others move into design, build, or activation.
How does pricing work?
Each Senior sets their own rates and terms—commensurate with senior-level expertise.
No bundled packages, no markups, no hidden commissions. If a project involves more than one Senior, scope and fees are defined transparently, upfront, and in service of the work.
What if I don't know which Senior I need?
That's common—and expected.
If you reach out without knowing exactly who to engage, a Senior will help you think it through. Sometimes that leads to a focused engagement. Sometimes it reveals a broader opportunity.
How do you handle confidentiality?
Carefully and professionally.
Throughout our careers, we've handled highly sensitive information. Discretion is a given. When needed, we can also create private, secure AI environments—such as dedicated or local language models—to ensure your data remains isolated, protected, and fully under your control.
Security follows the work, not the other way around.
When is the Seniors not the right fit?
We'll be the first to tell you.
At this stage in our careers, we're not driven by volume or fees. We're driven by impact. If we don't believe we can make a meaningful difference, we'll say so—openly and early.
That may mean referring you to another Senior, connecting you with the right external expert, or helping assemble a broader team.
What industries or sectors do you work in?
Broadly—and deeply.
Collectively, we've worked across technology, consumer goods, healthcare, financial services, retail, nonprofit, and beyond. Each Senior brings sector depth; together, we offer a cross-industry perspective that often reveals what single-sector thinking misses.
How do you work with internal teams?
Alongside, not above.
We're not here to replace your team—we're here to elevate what they can accomplish. That means transferring frameworks, building capability, and ensuring the work continues to deliver value long after the engagement ends.
Can we engage more than one Senior at once?
Absolutely—when it serves the work.
Some challenges benefit from multiple perspectives working in concert. We'll help you determine whether a solo engagement or a combined approach delivers the greatest impact—and structure it transparently.
Do you work with private equity or investors?
Often.
We help PE firms and growth investors with commercial due diligence, brand positioning for divestiture, pricing as a value-creation lever, and portfolio company transformation. Several Seniors have direct experience advising at the investment level.
What's your approach to AI in your work?
Pragmatic and integrated.
AI expands what's possible—but only in experienced hands. We use AI to accelerate research, prototype faster, and stress-test thinking. It sharpens our work; it doesn't replace judgment.
How long do engagements typically last?
As long as they need to—no longer.
Some projects are intense, multi-week sprints. Others evolve into advisory relationships spanning months or years. Duration follows impact, not contractual inertia.
